Basilica of Bom Jesus

This is one of the oldest Church of India and was constructed since the times of  Portuguese. Bom Jesus meaning is Good Jesus. The church was constructed in 1605. It takes 11 years to complete.

St. Francis Xavier’s body was exhumed and brought to this Church. The Basilica of Bom Jesus Church is famous for keeping the remains of St. Xavier’s body for more than 500 years. This body was open for public view all the times of a year. This Church is one of the Unique places to visit in Goa.

Churches in Goa is the part of Goan Culture of Portuguese who rules for 450 years in this place. So Christianity is the main religion of this place.


Dudhsagar Falls in Goa

This place is 60 kilometres away from Panaji, located on the Belgaum to Vasco Da Gama rail route.

The Dudhsagar Falls located on the Mandovi River and believe me, on viewing this site from some distance shows an awesome view, looks like a falls of Milk River. The waterfall is also known as Tambdi Surla. Roads are closed here in Rainy Seasons.

How to reach here?

In order to reach this place, firstly to reach Mollem Village, 40 kilometres from this place. From Mollem, one has to hire Jeep or a vehicle to reach the place.
